As the most prestigious international creative communications awards, more than 40,000 entries from all over the world are showcased and judged at the Cannes Lions Festival, held during the third week of June in Cannes, France, every year. From 2015, two additional Festivals have been added to the Festival line-up, to acknowledge creativity across even more industries.
Lions Health is the opening of the International Festival of Creativity and is the global creative festival for the healthcare communications industry. This includes the world’s biggest healthcare communications awards.
Lions Innovation is a two-day festival within the Cannes Lions Festival. It is a unique event where data, technology and creativity intersect.
Highly coveted Awards
Winners receive the highly-coveted Lion trophy, presented at four award ceremonies throughout the week. The winning ads are awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Lions. The Grand Prix are awarded to the best of the Gold Lions.
Other awards include; Holding Company of the Year, Network of the Year, Independent Agency of the Year, Agency of the Year, Media Agency of the Year, Palme d'Or, Grand Prix for Good, National Diploma, Media Person of the Year and Creative Marketer of the Year.

The Cannes Lions Archive
The Cannes Lions Archive is the digital home of the three Festivals – Cannes Lions, Lions Health and Lions Innovation. The Archive houses over 400,000 entries entered into the Cannes Lions Festival since 2001, over 450 hours of talks and seminars from the Festival stages and over 260,000 credited industry professionals.
After the Festival each year, the Cannes Report is released through the Cannes Lions Archive. This audited report provides in-depth statistics on Lion-winning creativity by agency, brand and individual.
