All credit card information is processed using a secure server by our payment provider, SecureTrading. Credit card information is deleted from the Cannes Lions / SecureTrading systems once payment has been verified and processed. Evidence that the server is secure, is indicated by the URL of the payment section of our site, which begins with https://. This means that all transactions that take place are encrypted between the user's browser and the server and that nobody is able to obtain our customers' personal details.

SecureTrading makes use of Public Key Infrastructure and Digital Certificates to ensure the authenticity and security of each transaction. 2048 bit encryption is used, the strongest level employed by any payment service provider. The Archive has an additional fraud detection system to help protect our customers' business.

Internet activity
The Cannes Lions Archive is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or cable lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation in or downloading any materials from the Archive website.

Our privacy policy
Personal information received by the Archive through the e-commerce facility will not be sold or bartered. All users, on setting up their account, will be asked to opt-in to their information being distributed to third parties and companies relevant to the International Advertising Festival. No credit card information is ever shared.

To access the Archive, all users must first set up a subscription account online. During registration, users may be required to provide professional contact information, such as name, email address and company type, a mailing address and payment information. Users will need an email address and password to login. This information will be kept on the Cannes Lions database. No payment details are kept on our systems after payment has been authorised. All new subscribers are sent a welcoming email to confirm their payment and verify their password. When an email address is not working, the associated password might be deactivated by the Archive.

Surveys
From time to time, IAF may request information from Archive users via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary. Information requested may include contact information and business information (name, company, job role, responsibilities and email). This information is mainly used to better understand our audiences. Should the results of a survey be published, no personal information will be divulged.

Opt-out
All subscribers are given the opportunity to opt-out of having their personal information used for marketing purposes not directly related to our site. Any active or non-active subscribers who no longer wish to receive our newsletters may opt out by replying to the email message with the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line. When the user makes an unsubscribe request, we try to remove their email address from our mailing lists before the next mailing.

Cookies
The Archive uses cookies. A cookie is a message given to a web browser by a web server. This message is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Cookies on the Archive are used to make the login process easier for our users and to track broad user movements for statistical purposes.
